Bull Creek Fish Camp
This quiet little fish camp is located at the confluence of Dead Lake and Bull Creek. There are 25 RV campsites, and each one is on the water.

We were here for two weeks while Mike worked at Daytona Bike Week, once again running the Dyno for Speeds Performance Plus. It was a lovely place to be… unless you work remotely as I do and need decent Wi-Fi to get things done. The Wi-Fi here is practically non-existent, so I wasn’t able to enjoy the peace and quiet as much as I would’ve liked.

This spot is known for offering some of the best fresh water fishing around. Iām not a fisherman, so I can’t confirm that. However, I was super excited about exploring the water in my kayak. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out because my kayak sprang a leak on the one day I was able to stay put.

Never a dull moment when you’re traveling!
I didn’t spot any gators, which was odd, but there were plenty of buzzards, who’d congregate every morning in the trees, waiting for the fisherman to toss their bait in the trash bins. I also spotted some sort of crane while I was walking the dogs one morning. I wish I’d gotten better photos, but it’s hard to frame a shot properly when you’re wrangling two dogs. š

Oh! There used to be a restaurant here, too, but the building has been condemned due to flood damage from Hurricanes Ian and Nicole. š
